Executive Director

Anna Johnson

Anna Johnson has been the Executive Director of Alden Courts of Waterford since January 2012. Previously she served as the Administrator of Alden’s Group Homes for Developmentally Disabled Adults for two years. She began her career in health care 24 years ago when she became a Board Certified Music Therapist working at Forest Hospital in Des Plaines. Over the years, she has worked as an Activity Director for inpatient behavioral health and for a hospital-based skilled rehabilitation unit as well as Music Therapy consultant and dementia unit coordinator/program director. Anna has a bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California and will complete her MBA in Health Systems Administration from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona in May 2012. She is a licensed nursing home administrator and is a certified food service supervisor through the State of Illinois.

Activity Director

Ellen Librojo

Ellen joined Alden Courts of Waterford as Activity Director in November 2008. She began her career as a teacher in a Dominican School and worked there for many years before deciding to enter the field of geriatric care. Elleen’s previous health care experience includes caring for a couple with Alzheimer’s and other dementia-related illnesses for 10 years as well as serving as an Activity Director for the past 6 years.

Program Manager

Shannon Riser

Shannon Riser joined Alden Courts of Waterford as Program Manager in May 2008. She has experience in outpatient mental health counseling and worked at an adult daycare center for individuals with Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Shannon received a master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University in Aurora.

Wellness Director

Lori Metcalf, LPN

Lori joined the Alden Courts of Waterford team as Wellness Director in August 2006. She began her career in nursing almost 30 years ago. Over the years, Lori has worked in long-term care facilities, physician offices and clinic settings. She says “caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other related dementias has always been my love.” Lori received her license in practical nursing from JWC College in Quincy, Illinois.

Office Manager

Jessica Aponte, CNA

Jessica Aponte has been the Office Manager at Alden Courts of Waterford since May 2008. She has nearly 10 years of experience in the field of health care. Jessica is a Certified Nursing Assistant and Phlebotomist. Her prior work experience and keen organizational skills give Jessica the knowledge to assist residents and family members in a variety of areas.
